Merkel Built 375 H&H on a Commercial Magnum Length Action and Retailed by W. Glaser, Zurich.
Special features include, matching claw mounted Zeiss Zeilvier 4x with 3 post European reticle, Tang safety,
Detachable trigger shoe, Bohler barrel with full integral rib. Rifle was built circa 1937. Some time
in the early 50's there appears to have been a generation change in ownership of the rifle; at which time
it was sent to Griffin & Howe, through A&F to have the cheekpiece inlet into the stock. This work was
probably done at the direction of the new owner who appears to have inherited it from his father.
Included is the shipping carton from A&F with a Jan. 1953 postmark which was obviously used to
return the rifle along with the custom made leather case to the new owner. Overall a very neat outfit
that one wishes could talk. Rifle is in excellent condition and appears to have been little used.
