Griffin & Howe Serial No. 256 in 7mm Mauser. Very early rifle, circa 1925-26. Built on a Std. 98 Action.
Barrel is 24" - half Oct. and half rnd. with a full length rib. This rifle has had a very sheltered life - appears
to be hardly used. Wood is excellent with only a few minor handling marks. Rust blue finish is 98-99%.
Stocking appears to be the style of Seymour Griffin himself. Full coverage engraving on the bottom
metal is most likely the work of R. J. Kornbrath. This is an exceptional example of G&H's early work
that shows no signs of having been altered from day: one.
