Boss O/U 12 Bore 2 Barrel Set, Built in 1919 For a Canadian Client. Barrels are 27 and 29 inch.
First set delivered with gun is 27" Cyl & Cyl. Second set completed in 1926 is 29" bored Full & Full
was ordered for a successive American owner through Abercrombie & Fitch. Almost impossible to
find a Boss gun with these long barrels, tight chokes, and heavy wall thickness. Original 27" barrels
are 2 3/4" Chambers with a 3 1/4 dram 1 1/8 oz load. 29" barrels are 2 3/4" chamber 1 1/4 proof.
Ejectors are in time and very strong. 27" barrels retain 95% of a London reblue. 29" barrels
retain 99-100 original blue. Bores are excellent to perfect. Old replacement stock, probably done at the
same time the later barrels were built for a new owner. Strong traces of case color give the that
nice overall pleasing look, with another lifetime of service.
